Fuckup Nights TO is proud to present an exclusive conversation with Zane Caplansky, Founder of Caplansky's Deli.

This restauranteur's new Yorkville location was supposed to be the start of a national rollout of Caplansky's Deli franchises. Instead, a series of Fuckups shattered his business.

A bitter dispute with his landlord, operational mistakes, cashflow errors, not having the right team in place, focusing on the wrong things...the Fuckups were varied and many. And it all happened in the public eye, with media coverage every (painful) step of the way.

Over the last two years, Zane has taken the time to truly absorb the lessons from his failure and he's looking forward to sharing them with our community.

We're honoured to provide a platform for Zane to share his unfiltered story.

WTF is Fuckup Nights?

Failure is a part of any success story, but we don't talk about it enough. We've all been to plenty of events where people tell you how they hacked, hustled, and created their success, but very few where someone gets up and says "I totally messed up, and this is what you can learn from it."

Fuckup Nights Toronto is part of a global speaker series where stories of failed businesses and projects are shared. At our regular monthly events, 3 speakers tell a professional failure story and lessons learned using 10 images and 10 minutes each.
