Pro-Tip Tuesday keeps going strong this October! Join us in the Camden lounge at 12 p.m. on October 18 as we explore how businesses can have a social impact while achieving their business goals. Plus there’s snacks!

THEME: Doing Well By Doing Good

As a startup, your list of to-dos might stretch from your desk to the floor. Getting customers is probably near the top, but creating a positive impact on the world is probably somewhere down on the list near ‘organize downloads folder’.

So how can you give back between product development, attracting and managing investors, recruiting and marketing?

This Pro-Tip Tuesday session will focus on identifying your team’s strengths, connecting with a social profit organizations and leveraging your work to build your company’s reputation with investors, customers, employees and media.

Krista Pawley of Imperative Impact helps us to kick of Pro Bono Volunteering Week with a session on how you can use your team’s skills to have a positive social impact.

Krista has held executive positions building, training and leading world-class reputation management, sponsorship and public affairs teams within the Government of Canada, Scotiabank, The MasterCard Foundation and Aimia among others​. Driven by a belief that businesses and their people can and must play a critical role in building vibrant and sustainable communities at home and abroad, Krista is working with socially motivated business leaders in Canada to build a community of practice to share, learn and unlock best practices in skills based giving with a goal of making work more meaningful for businesses, employees and communities.
