As lockdowns and WFH became the norm in 2020, we knew we needed to find creative ways to keep the Project Spaces community engaged.
It's no secret that one of our favourite things to do is help our members make new friends, often via long-winded, over-the-top introductions from Jeff.
Having always done these in-person, it was a challenge to make the pieces fit...
So first we began using our Slack channel to introduce new members each week. It was a fun way to kick off engagement, while helping our community get back into the groove of making new friends, now from the comfort of their sweatpants.
Next we encouraged members to get creative and make their own sub-channels around topics that interest them.
That's when #puzzles was born.
To our surprise, PS member Dr. Gillian Mandich, a published researcher, two-time TEDx speaker, and founder of The International Happiness Institute of Health Science Research, is also a dedicated jigsaw puzzler... and she's not alone!
Gillian's #puzzles channel became an instant hit among members, who were excited to share photos of the puzzles they completed during the boredom of lockdown, and even schedule times to swap puzzles at the spaces. Who knew?
We could never have predicted this, and that's the point!
At its core, so much of what we do simply involves bringing great people together and watching the magic happen. We're excited to see what our members think of next.
If you're looking to join a community full of interesting and authentic people, take a peek at our "21 days for $49" offer (extended until February 28th).
