5 Toronto Fitness Studios Hosting Outdoor Classes

Project Spaces

Summer is in full swing and we’re officially in Stage 3 of reopening! After many months of waiting, businesses across the city have finally been given the green light to reopen, which means you’ll have the option to return to your beloved fitness studio in the very near future. With that said, if you’re still feeling iffy about working out in an enclosed space, there are several studios hosting socially distant outdoor classes!

Here are 5 fitness studios that are offering gym-goers the option to get their sweat on while simultaneously soaking up the sun.

1. Loft Cycle Club

This spin and sculpt studio located on the Danforth is offering both in-studio and park classes during the month of August. They will be continuing their Workout in the Park series, which entails action-packed 50-minute classes that are a mix of cardio burn, strength training, yoga, and sculpting exercises. Classes are being held at Withrow Park and they are suitable for all levels!

2. BOLO

Don’t feel comfortable working out indoors just yet? BOLO hears you loud and clear! This fitness facility is set to reopen once again on Wednesday, August 12, but they will still be hosting their outdoor workout classes while the weather permits it. BOLO is offering a variety of classes including an outdoor run club, boot camp, and “no hit” boxing.

3. Chi Junky

This yoga & wellness studio hasn’t announced their reopening date quite yet, but their outdoor classes at Jimmie Simpson Park will be going ahead as planned. Whether you want to work on your strength-building holds in a slower-paced class, focus on your alignment with creative sequencing or energize and rejuvenate with a combination of heat building vinyasa and deep stretching, all of the above is possible with Chi Junky’s outdoor class options.

4. Sweat & Tonic

Sweat & Tonic reopened their boutique fitness studio earlier this week and they will continue to run their popular Sweat in the Park classes for the rest of the month. Their outdoor classes take place at least once a day at either St. James Square at Ryerson University or Little Norway Park. Classes offered include full-body workouts, morning yoga, and sunset yoga.

5. Fit Factory

Fit Factory knows a thing or two about full-body workouts, and even though they’ve officially reopened their studio, their outdoor boot camp classes are still on the schedule for this month! Training sessions typically take place at either Canoe Landing or David Pecaut Square. You can expect Fit Factory’s infamous drills and circuit training to take place during these intense sessions.

We’re psyched to see so many businesses opening back up in their own unique ways and can’t wait to see what our Project Spaces members will be getting up to during Stage 3 of reopening.
